Job Summary

Works independently on all types of research requests, using appropriate tools and resources to accomplish tasks. Interprets recipient needs, develops a plan of action, and provides valuable information to the recipient via write-up to meet those needs.  Works directly with consultants to clarify requests, develop strategies for researching information and coordinate the time frame for delivery of research write-up. Maintains efficiency and productivity throughout the research process and communicates regularly with team members and contingent departments. 

Essential Functions

  • Works independently to complete research requests following departmental processes.
  • Interprets research requests and develops plan of action to find resources, communicating with consultant as needed.
  • Uses all available research tools, such as Internet, proprietary databases, archived information and print resources.
  • Verifies information by phone or e-mail, using proper phone and e-mail etiquette.
  • Organizes data and composes error-free, professionally written documents for delivery.
  • Develops and maintains internal library of informational documents for distribution to recipients.
  • Completes special research projects, collaborating with Senior Researchers and/or Team Lead.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaborate with team.
  • Proficiency in Internet searching; ability to quickly obtain pertinent resources. Able to quickly learn and master all proprietary research tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of 45 wpm typing skills.
  • Demonstrated creative/proactive thinking skills; effective problem solving.
  • Ability to synthesize information and interpret needs.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and web browsing.
