Job Summary

Directly leads a functional team comprised of Outplacement Coaches to successfully deliver outplacement programs within quality and operational parameters.  Areas of responsibility include oversight of direct service delivery, assignment of candidates and programs and appropriately addressing and documenting service and workflow.  Researches, evaluates and addresses quality issues. Additionally interfaces with employees and departments across the company to ensure seamless service delivery and billing.  This position can be a telecommuting role, located anywhere in the United States.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for all aspects of delivering our outplacement solutions, including making consultant assignments.
  • Identifies consultants and provides support for on-site notifications, manager notification planning training and onsite workshops.
  • Oversees outplacement consulting/coaching service delivery, ensuring that guidelines are followed and timely records are maintained including program plans and progress notes.
  • Reviews the record keeping system to manage caseloads and quality.
  • Works with executive management to establish and monitor key performance indicators to ensure quality and productivity.
  • Contributes ideas, best practices and industry knowledge to improve our solutions and quality.
  • Takes an active role in the Client Services management team including participation in meetings aimed at implementing best practices and improving products, delivery and quality, as well as meeting delivery cost objectives.
  • Develops and manages coaching staff to meet resource needs, maximize productivity, maintain cost control and achieve delivery and cost quality objectives.
  • Monitors and maintains the performance of all coaching staff to ensure their productivity is in line with business goals set and agreed upon with senior management.
  • Develops and maintains good business relationships with key internal and external customers.
  • Performs other duties as required. 15% travel required.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, social, human services or related field required. 
  • Minimum of three years of experience in directly managing employees.
  • In-depth and up-to-date knowledge and understanding of outplacement coaching.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a outplacement coach.
  • Experience managing a team/department budgets and gross margins to ensure profitable delivery of outplacement solutions.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Ability to manage and influence internal relationships at all levels.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed analytical ability capable of analyzing problems, discovering root causes and proposing appropriate solutions.
  • Results-oriented with strong focus for achieving short- and long-term goals.
